Read the briefTree sponsorship programme
There were once yellowwood trees on the hills above this bay ∞ trees a thousand years old, older than any building in this city. That lineage is not gone. It is dormant, waiting for hands willing to plant again. If we want our grandchildren to stand in the shade of something ancient, someone has to start now. That someone can be you.
Sponsor a tree in the EarthBound network. We plant it, tend it, photograph it as it grows, and send you updates via ForUs blockchain certificate. Three tiers aligned with the government's One Billion Trees Programme.
Sponsor a treeFast-growing indigenous species. First canopy. Windbreak and habitat establishment. Annual ForUs growth certificate.
Food-producing trees that feed the Food Sovereignty Collective. Harvest gifts returned to sponsor. GPS-stamped blockchain record.
Indigenous pharmacopeia species. Each carries its Xhosa name, traditional use, and ecological role. A dignified public honouring of botanical knowledge.
Membership
The Eastern Cape has a character all its own ∞ heat, wind, long dry spells, and then rain that arrives with intention. EarthBound Academy exists for people who want to work with that character rather than against it. Not a compromise ∞ a fundamentally different and more rewarding relationship between the land, the water, and the life you want to create on your property.
By year two or three, your garden requires less water and less intervention than it did at installation ∞ while producing more.
"Every year the system runs, the roots go deeper. Every year the roots go deeper, the resilience deepens. The garden becomes less vulnerable to the Eastern Cape climate and more expressive of what this land can actually produce."
Five tiers, Seed to Forest
From R270/month, service-based tiers of physical site visits, specialist time, and WhatsApp consultation ∞ each tier modifying rather than accumulating the one before it.

Academy members can open their land for food production under the Food Sovereignty Collective model. The EarthBound team is on site anyway ∞ small urban harvests become viable entry points that would not pencil out for a dedicated operation. Harvest revenue tracked and distributed automatically via ForUs blockchain.
Revenue splits five ways ∞ Land Owner, Capital Investor, Local Workers, Upliftment, and EarthBound. Members who also fund the inputs receive both the Land Owner and Capital Investor shares ∞ 40% net. See the full split breakdown on Packages →
